"Cardiac appointment"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Really disgusted at the lack of organisation and the system that works between the cardiac centre and the ECG department.

Arrived at the cardiac centre at 12:30 to a closed reception and a sign that said take a seat and someone will see you. Not seen so after 30 minutes, went back to reception, who said bluntly we were on our lunch.

Then I was sent for an ECG and directed to wrong place, took me another 30 mins to find. Got to ECG and a patient told me to knock on the door and I gave my name.

Eventually after ECG was done I returned to the Cardiac Centre and again was told to sit down. Waited over another 30 minute and again approached the reception, who said oh you haven't been booked in. ECG should have booked you in. At this I left through thorough frustration.
