"The most caring, friendly and professional team"

I was admitted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for a complex operation. I am in my 70s and this was the first op for me, apart from a c-section in 1984.

I was anxious, however as soon as I was admitted I was extremely well cared for by the most caring, friendly and professional team.

My fears were taken away as I knew I was in the most capable of hands. Dr Kent is an amazing surgeon, as well as a lovely and a caring manner. Her team are amazing too. Getting prepared for op we even had a laugh. So good.

Next thing I knew I was in bed in ward 56b. The whole team there were tremendous and made my stay in hospital at ease. All the team were very caring and extremely attentive. How they manage to be beautiful, smiling, professional friendly people when ward is very busy with lots going on. They are a wonder. Words cannot describe what an amazing team they are.

My experience from my own doctors too - Dr Wong, Dr Kent and Dr Crawley - has been wonderful. I have had follow-up appointments at GRI and Stobhill and they explain everything in a lovely manner. I always come out with a smile and confident with any further procedures I may need.

I also recently had an endoscopy at Stobhill. From speaking to receptionist to nurse taking you to cubicle and explaining everything, they again are a great team, so friendly and professional. I then went to have endoscopy done and there was c/n Paul. He was amazing and knew all I had done previously. Again, professional and friendly, putting me at total ease.

I found the procedure absolutely fine, the nurse made me feel at ease and patting me on shoulder as I lay on my side. Paul explained what he saw in a most nice manner. From there a nurse made sure all was ok with me and a little chat before going home. Once again, the whole team there are very special.

I have found my experience and care in GRI and Stobhill quite superb. They are all extremely busy, yet have time to be caring, attentive and professional. Very special people.
