About: North Devon District Hospital / Endoscopy

Called in at short notice for a cancellation. Pre-appointment was fine. Instructions very clear, watch out for wotsits in low residue diet phase - some flavours contain chickpea - this stage not fun but bearable.

Arrived for appointment, you may wait a while but after going onto the ward it was super efficient. Everyone was lovely and doctor straightforward and approachable. Procedure fine with gas and air. Not long in recovery, home after coffee and biscuits and a chat with a nurse.

Also thank for tolerating the low residue diet! Not easy for everyone but an important part of the endoscopy process when bowel prep is involved.
