Having a heart attack while on holiday, got wife to take me to the Causeway Hospital.
I didn’t think the triage nurse took it too seriously, as all they did was take my blood pressure and heart rate, but as my daughter was a health professional, she told my wife to get me back onto triage.
I was then taken through and wired up for an ECG but within 10 minutes I had a cardiac arrest, I was shocked and CPR administered after which I was blue lighted to Altnagelvin Hospital for an emergency operation where two stents were inserted.
