"I completely trusted the work that had been done"

About: Urgent Community Response / Urgent Community Response (South)

(as a relative),

My father fell in his apartment. He was found by a Duty Manager in the building, when he didn’t turn up for lunch. He didn’t press his button, as he forgot after the shock of falling.

UCR were called to get Dad up from the floor. He had slid off the bed whilst changing clothes and hurt his back on the bedside table on landing.

He was lifted and well checked out, and I was given instructions of what to do to help him, and also info on where improvements in his situation could be done.

Having had a stroke 4 yrs ago, he is not very capable of taking in conversations and information, or remembering them for any length of time.

The lady who looked after him was superb. Very kind and helpful. This Unit in the Community is a great idea. It alleviates the time of Paramedics for people who really do need them. A great professional go between, who are able to make wise decisions to further the care of their patients.

As the child of a parent in their 90s, I completely trusted the work that had been done.

Well done all.
