Just an appreciation post for various departments at the QEUH in Glasgow - A&E, Resus, ARU and wards 9B and 9D.
My dad was admitted to hospital with possible heart issues (he has previously had a heart attack and symptoms were the exact same) and was immediately sent to resus for tests. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis within an hour of arriving at A&E. Sent up to ward 9B then 9D with MRI scan booked and surgery followed for gallbladder removal.
We as a family would like to thank every single one of you for providing him with the most professional care at all times, from his time in resus all the way to discharge. Our NHS is given a lot of negative publicity, but they are there for us in times like these when we really need them!
A heartfelt thank you to the nurse (can't remember name sorry) who let me speak to my brother who was with my dad when his phone ran out of charge and I had no way of contacting him and knowing how dad was. You all are credit to your profession, thank you from all the family!
"The most professional care"
