"I was really unhappy with the care I received"

I was recently in the Swift ward at Epsom hospital following an operation and I was really unhappy with the care I received. 

I was in so much pain, I asked for pain relief many times and was ignored until eventually got some paracetamol after an hour and a half. I was trying to rest but every time I fell asleep I was woken up to the nurses shouting in the corridor! 

It was a hot day, and they had no fans on the ward so it was boiling and very uncomfortable! 

No one spoke to me about how my operation went until I asked what time I would be allowed to go home and then the nurse in charge came and was really blunt and didn’t go into any detail and just sent me on my way!

I was really upset leaving there as I was in so much pain and I didn’t even have confirmation everything had gone ok!

It was really disappointing because everyone else I have come into contact with at St Helier and Epsom have been lovely and they have really let the whole experience down!
