"Children’s A&E at the Royal Hospital"

Plenty of parking, lovely and compassionate staff, nice children’s area.

We had only ever dealt with another hospital which had unfortunately left us totally disheartened with the NHS as a whole. We decided to drive the extra distance to the Royal.

To our surprise; we arrived, were triaged and seen by a doctor within 5 hours. 

Staff really listened, cared and wanted to be there. They made our visit as positive as possible, with small details such as calling our toddler by name and waiting for both parents to be present when moving to new areas.

The doctor also made a follow up appointment so we could ensure that everything mends as it should, which I found to be very reassuring.

It’s the first positive experience we as a family have had with health services in quite some time so I can’t thank the team enough.
