"Friendliness and professionalism"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Day Procedure Unit

(as the patient),

I recently had an Endoscopic Ultrasound at the RVH Belfast.

The whole experience was excellent from start to finish.

It started with a nurse called Clare talking me through the procedure, what would be involved, the time it would take and really putting me at ease. Then she put a cannula into my arm as preparation for the procedure.

Next I was seen by my Consultant who talked through my medical history and exactly what he was about to do during the ultrasound, he was very thorough and answered any questions that I had very clearly. After this I was taken by another nurse Orla, to where the ultrasound was to be carried out, there a couple more nurses Wilma and a nurse whose name I didn't get (apologies) prepared me for the procedure, all the time the nurses where friendly, very professional and completely put me at ease. After the ultrasound I was in the recovery section for a while, and there I was well looked after by Anna.

My whole experience today was very positive and I would like to thank everyone involved for their help friendliness and professionalism

Many thanks
