"Very grateful for all their hard work"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Therapies

(as a service user),

I was referred to hand therapy following my operation to remove a bone due to osteoarthritis in my thumb joint. When I first attended, 2 weeks after my surgery I was in a lot of pain and convinced my recovery would be extremely long. But thanks to the high level of support & guidance I got from the hand therapist, 14 weeks on I have been discharged and I'm very grateful for all his hard work now that my hand feels almost back to normal

Dear Nananik,

My name is Karen. I am the hand therapy team lead here at NDDH.

I am really pleased to hear that you are happy with the treatment and guidance you have received following your thumb surgery. It's always nice for our team to receive positive feedback from patients. Unfortunately, this type of surgery can be quite painful, but I am glad that your post-operative pain has reduced, and your hand is doing a lot better.

I will pass your feedback on to Andrew, as I am sure he would love to hear that his hard work is appreciated.

Thank you again for your lovely feedback.
