"The team were all very caring"

I am writing this on behalf of my dad. 

My dad attended the Day Surgery Unit at QMH a recent Thursday for a prostate scrape and I just wanted to share how happy he (and I) am with the care he received. 

Dad had said he was seen first and was treated very well by all the staff and the consultant who carried out his procedure. He had a complication with clotting after the surgery and he said the consultant was with him within 10 minutes, the then had a further noted temperature and was seen to again very quickly with the decision to keep him in overnight. He was then transferred to VHK on the Friday night for further monitoring. 

Throughout his stay and now he is home he expresses how happy he is with the treatment received and for the decision to monitor him further as he stays alone and was worried about coming home if he wasn't ready. 

Dad has also mentioned he has had no pain since the procedure and feels like he hasn't had anything done, which is a plus as he was worried he would be in pain for weeks. He's been warned not to overdo it though!

Thank you so much for looking after my dad and being so good with him, he said everyone was lovely to him and I agree, when I was in I could see the team were all very caring and wanted to make sure he was ok.
