Not all stitches could be removed on my first visit as some concealed under caked blood. Nurses Val and Brogan expected to remove two remaining stitches. However a third was concealed by healing of the wound. The unexpected complexity was handled with expertise and patience, explaining all the treatment now required. I’m very appreciative of the professional care and attention I have received by NHS staff since requiring treatment for a severed artery at the Minor Injuries Unit at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Drumchapel Health Centre.
