"My bad luck!!"

Unfortunately I fell over in late November 2024 and dislocated my shoulder and I went to new cross hospital for treatment, I was there 13 hours and thy thy had to sedate me to put my shoulder back into position and I was well pleased with the care and how professional they was, I had 5 weeks off work but unfortunately late December I had a accident and broke my ankle in 3 places and crushed a bone and had to have metal plates and screws fitted into my ankle, I was in hospital for 1 week. 

I was in a cast and stuck on a settee for 3 months as I could not walk, I’m self employed mechanic, I’ve been self employed for 39 years and love my job, I work 6 days a week with long hours so going from working 6 days a week and running around like a mad man and then to a sudden stop to be stuck on the settee for 3 months drive me crazy and really depressed , bored and suicidal and like a fish out of water!! 

Thanks to New Cross hospital and my physio I can now walk with 1 walking stick.

I went for a MRI scan for my dislocated shoulder to find out it had turned into a frozen shoulder due to me being stuck on the settee for 3 months, 

Now that I can walk with 1 walking stick I went to Cannock hospital on the late June 2025 to have my frozen shoulder operation done, but they would not do it as I was on walking sticks, New Cross hospital and Cannock hospital have both been amazing and very caring and very professional in looking aftee me, I could not fault them.

I’ve got to see the surgeon in a few weeks time and I’m hoping I will be fit for work by then.

I’m losing lots of work and some of my customers but I’m hoping thy will come back to me wen I’m back on my feet and up and running again but I know I’m not going to be as fit as I was before my accidents as it’s a really physical job and it was like going to the gym everyday and that’s going to take a couple of years to be that fit again but hopefully I’ll get there. 

All the staff at new cross hospital and Cannock hospital, my physio and patient transport have all been very kind and very professional, 

My surgeon Mr Dobson as been amazing and all the hospital staff too.
