I recently called Lagan Valley Urgent Care Centre (Lisburn) shortly after 8am, explaining the nature of my sporting injury which had been ongoing for around 4 weeks. I wasn’t sure if I was using the correct NHS facility for the nature of my complaint but I am so glad I called.
After a few minutes on the phone with reception staff and the medical team, I was offered an appointment within the hour. When I attended the hospital I was met with a friendly face at reception who quickly checked me in.
The nurse (Lucy I think) who carried out the initial assessment was caring, put me at ease and referred me for an x-ray.
The radiographer was efficient, professional and provided good instruction - all images were taken within 5-10 minutes of arriving at the x-ray reception and the results were back within 15 minutes.
Lucy reassured me that it didn’t look as though I had any fractures and provided loads of advice on how to treat the pain and allow the injury to heal properly. She also encouraged me to return in a fortnight if there was no further improvement.
Honestly cannot fault any of the service I received - it was excellent, efficient, professional and caring. Many thanks team! :-)
