About: Broomwood Road Surgery

I have been a patient at this surgery for 20 years. I found a lump in my breast over the weekend. I filled in an e -consult. Received a quick response by email informing me I was not registered at this practice. 20 minutes on the phone waiting to be told I've been made "inactive" because apparently I applied to another practice. I have not applied to another practice. Told I have to re register online but that it takes 48 hours to process, I explained that I have found a lump and don't want to wait 48 hours. I then go on to re register and it tells me that I'm already registered. So another phone call and wait to pass on this news. I'm told that the reception manager will look into it and call me back. Needless to say, I had no call back. For something that potentially could be very serious I've heard nothing. So I have in fact now registered with another gp surgery and they are seeing me in the morning. Very disappointing and poor show by this practice for not prioritising a potential life threatening situation because of a computer error at their end.
