"Exceptional level of care"

Last week we had the unfortunate task of using the Scottish Ambulance service having found the body of my late father-in-law who had passed at home.

I would like to take this opportunity to pass on my sincere gratitude to the team for its professionalism, patience and kindness. The two paramedics who attended the scene around one recent Sunday evening, showed great empathy and helped myself and two daughters to navigate what was an extremely difficult time.

The NHS in Scotland is often maligned, but I can only speak in high praise of my own experience. The two ambulance crew were fantastic throughout and a credit to the service.

Obviously I hope that any future interaction is limited, but take comfort from knowledge that I will be afforded an exceptional level of care.
