The whole process from being rushed in, treated and aftercare on the ward was well beyond what I have come to expect from NHS, then the wheels fell off.
Discharge process was totally appalling. For four days I read my booklet (given to me day one) with all the meds I would be given and how and when to take them. Yet had to wait for 3 hours to get them from the pharmacy. Why is this system so bad yet it could be so easy, for inpatients prep them in advance then a quick check on discharge?
Whether you spend a couple of days or a couple of weeks in any such environment, you just want to get out and get back to some normality. I would love to receive a response to this.
Regards.
