"Fantastic orthopedics service"

After a car accident I was left with severe LBP and sciatica. 

I want to thank Causeway hospital Resus team in A&E for treating me with such dignity and compassion after the collision. 

I was referred to the orthopaedic clinic in Ballymena Health Centre. The pain was unbearable and it was effecting daily life. I had an appointment with John. He took a full history, listened to my concerns and reassured me that there were options and that we would work together to get my life back. He has the best bedside manner I have ever encountered from a medical professional. 

After discussing treatments he referred me for an urgent MRI and suggested nerve root injections to help the sciatica. Only a few weeks later I had an appointment for my MRI and injections. The injection was at Musgrave hospital. I was taken on time and the team in theatre were brilliant.  I was quite nervous but they took their time and explained everything they were going to do. I'm so grateful for their knowledge and expertise. They even showed me on the monitor where my prolapsed discs were which was fascinating to see. 

Months later I have now been discharged from orthopaedics as my back is doing a lot better. I will forever be grateful to John from Ballymena Health centre and the team in Musgrave as their care and expertise has significantly improved my life.
