"appointment follow up"

my Hp sent letter for orthopedic appointment. This was over a month ago , as it had 9 wks. waiting list.

It is a month passed by no appointment. I tried to find out as to when I will get letter. Twice i phoned at phone no. of the group provided. All the time I was ask to phone hospital directly, Why? when I phoned I was informed it is not NHS line and I should phone another number ot sometimes I was transferred to NHS appt desk , after speaking to 5 people. All I got was "when we get appt slot we will let you know". So 9 wks. waiting will be I am sure linger then 9 wks. There is no easy way to communicate and very frustrating. the reception are nothelpful. I am a healthcare professional and sympathize woth other lay people, hence warning do not even ask to be referred to this hospital.
