"My Cancer pathway"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / Colorectal surgery Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal Cancer in May 2023. I was referred to Mr Malick and the rectal cancer team that also included the Macmillan nurses. I also had radiotherapy and Chemo treatment via the Oncology team with Dr Branagan, this also involved the Stoma team.

I really want to convey my sincerest thanks to everyone involved in my care. It has been without doubt the very best experience from start to now, an on going surveillance programme.

Good morning,

Firstly, we apologies for the lateness in responding to you.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback on your experience at NGH.

We are so pleased to read that you had such a positive experience with the Rectal Cancer Team, MacMillan Nurses, Oncology, Stoma & Radiotherapy Team and the Consultant's & Doctors involved in your treatment and care.

This must have been a very worrying and stressful time for you, and our aim at NGH is to provide the best patient centred care as well as treatment to all of our patients.

Your kind words will be shared with the teams that treated you and I am sure your lovely feedback will make their day.

With warm regards

Sara Francis

Patient Experience Team, NGH.
