About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

(as a service user),

I was quite nervous before going in for oral surgery. I wasn't sure what to expect but was anticipating it would be quite unpleasant!

I was put immediately at ease by the team who were kind and considerate. We chatted a bit and they talked me through what was going to happen.

They let me select some music to listen to and made sure I was fully numb before starting to remove the molar.

It was a but uncomfortable but I didn't feel any pain. It was over very quickly, much quicker than I was expecting.

I was treated with great care and was so grateful for the expert handling of the extraction. I actually found I had had quite an enjoyable time!
