(as a service user),

I had amazing support from Eilish from pregnancy right through until my daughter turned 2. Eilish was a brilliant help in easing any worries I had during pregnancy or about labour and childbirth in the lead up to it. Eilish was so understanding and caring after I had my daughter, she always made me feel seen and heard as well as advocating for me. Eilish treats you as more than ‘just her job’ she truly supports you and cares, she goes above and beyond.

My daughter and I highly benefited from the support Eilish provided through the FNP and would have loved for her to stay on past the 2 year mark in place of a health visitor. Eilish and the FNP changed my life and helped shape me into the parent I am today and I’m genuinely grateful for all of the help and support that Eilish gave me over the past 2 years and we will miss her.

My name is Geraldine Doherty and I work as a Lead Nurse within Public Health Nursing.

Congratulations on becoming a mum and engaging with the Family Nurses during the first two years of your daughters life - it is lovely to read that Eilish's support has helped you so much as a new parent. I know she will be delighted to receive your kind words and I will ensure your compliment is shared with Eilish, her colleagues and manager.

I appreciate it is a difficult transition moving from your family nurse when you have built such a trusting & supportive relationship. Please be reassured your health visitor will be there to support as your daughter grows and moves into the next stage of her development.

Thank you again and I wish you and your daughter all the very best now and in the future.
