"It gave me such comfort knowing my sister was in such safe hands"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Assessment and Rehab Centre

(as a relative),

My sister had a massive stroke . After a short stay in The Vic, she was moved to Queen Margaret ward 7 for rehab. The staff on ward 7 are amazing , professional but also caring, kind and so very very patient .

My sister was often distressed by her situation but the staff were so understanding and did everything they could to help her through such a difficult time . They see the whole person not just an illness and it is obvious to visitors like me that their patients are the most important people on their ward

The buzzers never ever stop, the staff are constantly on the go, such a busy busy ward , especially with the patients who are confused, they need lots of comfort and ward 7 staff give that out in spades ( truly the caring profession).

I truly believe my beloved sister would not be here today if not for the staff at ward 7. I cannot thank them enough for all they do. It gave me such comfort knowing my sister was in such safe hands as ward 7 staff.

I found them all to be an incredible group of people and QM Hospital and I believe NHS Fife should use the example of the staff there and how the ward  functions as training for future NHS staff .

Well done Fiona , you and your staff are just wonderful.

Hello Happy Sister,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide ward 7 with such lovely feedback. As a team it is wonderful to know the care we provided has made an impact to you both. It was a privilege to look after your sister, she is an amazing lady who brought a smile to our face everyday.

I will share this with the whole ward team who will be very touched by your words,

I hope she continues to do well at home as this was her biggest wish while she was with us in the ward. We were lucky to be a part of her journey.

Kind regards

Fiona Reid

Senior Charge Nurse

Ward 7 Queen Margaret Hospital.
