"Without his efforts I may have lost a foot"

About: Fife Community Services / Podiatry Queen Margaret Hospital / Vascular Surgery

(as the patient),

In 2023 I had diabetic ulcers on both feet, and vascular issues with my legs. I attended Ninewells hospital in Dundee for a Femural Bypass operation which was successful, but I acquired a bone infection in both legs which required treatment for around 18 months. During all this time I was treated by the Podiatrist Neil at Queen Margaret's hospital in Dunfermline, Fife. I saw Neil weekly for almost two years and now it will be a monthly check. During all this time that Neil treated me my feet went from being full of open wounds and blackened toes to completely healed. I last saw him in June when he told me that he has no need to see me any more as I am now healed. I wish to compliment him on his excellent treatment and without his efforts I may have lost a foot or a leg by now. I am writing this to convey my sincere thanks to him for his work, and to appreciate his excellent professionalism.
