"Wonderful care the whole time"

About: Brannam Medical Centre North Devon District Hospital / Breast care and breast surgery

Jan. 2025.

Denial and  suspicion of the worst  feelings. This turned out to be correct.

Visit my GP, Brannam's MC,  examination, he immediately 'phoned the breast care unit at the NDD Hospital as a matter of urgency. Very quickly I had appointments  for mammogram, ultrasound  and biopsy all in one visit, my suspicions were confirmed. Next I see a lovely surgeon, she explained the next steps, first CT scan for surgery. All of this was done in a very short time.

My left side mastectomy was arranged for early March. Successful outcome, no spread  of this ''alien''  I am now clear. From start to completion I had wonderful care, at all times, treated with  kindness, time to talk, did not feel rushed, felt respect and met with understanding.

All the follow up visits have been  good.  We truly have a fantastic team at  our breast care surgery  unit and the Ladywell unit,  It's good to know that if I have any concerns they are there for me. I gratefully thank every single  member  of staff  for the care they have shown to me.

They are  simply the best. ********** 10 star. Thank you. xxx
