About: Mater Hospital / Gynaecology

I had a great hospital experience yesterday at the EOSC at the Mater. The hospital room was immaculate and every member of staff I came into contact with was so caring and friendly (including reception staff, porters, staff nurses (both on the ward and in the recovery room), the deputy sister, the anaesthetist Ronan, and all Dr's. Despite the procedure I had being straight forward, multiple different professionals explained it to me in detail and checked that I felt OK around it. Despite usually being an overthinker, I felt very at ease given this was my first time in surgery- all as a result of the amazing staff. I can't thank them enough.

My name is Tracey I am the Assistant Service Manager for Gynaecology in the Belfast Trust.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide some feedback on your recent experience having a hysteroscopy. I am delighted to note that your experience with all the staff was one of caring and friendly. We always strive for excellence for all our patients; it s very rewarding to read you were well informed and at ease.

I will share your feedback with the EOSC, there unit where you had the procedure undertaken and the gynae team involved in your care.

It is always a pleasure to receive such positive feedback to ensure staff they are providing a great service.
