I need monitoring for a rare condition but the service wants to discharge me so who will do this instead? (risk of blindness if I develop it). I also have severe dry eye and am always treated as if I don't follow advice for this which I do. Get lectured to rather than supported. Eye examination feels cursory eg no dye used. Told not to use specialist drops anymore and now two months on I am in a lot of pain. Didn't receive copy of letter to Gp (once after an appointment you never even wrote one at all). I had to ask PALS for it this time. Half the things we discussed weren't in the letter including an eye drop recommendation. You reluctantly agreed to give me a further appointment but not for the usual 6 months (which is always a year in reality ) so how long a 10 month recommendation will be.??? Have now had to go to opticians for review and at least they did staining in eyes and found that dry eye is really bad now the specialist drops are stopped. Back to square one.... Feel disappointed and let down.
"feel dismissed"
