"Very difficult to get an appointment or see a…"

We have had cause to use the surgery three times recently and on each occasion we have either not been able to see a doctor for my 5 year old or found difficulty for myself. My five year old was experiencing pain in her throat. We attended the surgery but was told no doctor would be available to see her. We offered to wait but this was not possible. A pharmacist next door was very helpful. I required a doctor for flu like symptoms. Was told no appointments were available initially. Later they brought in a cover doctor. Blood tests were required but no appointment would be available for a month meaning I had to trek to the hospital. Today my five year old has a cough and has for around 10 days. Again contact in the morning. No appointments available and was told to go to the walk in centre in the city centre. Currently with a 4 and a half hour wait. This is not the kind of service we had until relatively recently.
