After 20 hours in UTC and A&E, I was admitted to Ward 5A. I won’t pretend everything was perfect - the main problems being noise and the 3 toilets being out of action for a time. The noise was caused by other patients being in pain (inevitable), talking all the time they were awake, and noisy trolleys. I have promised to try to get them new ones if I win the lottery!
I could go on but what I really wanted to do was to say that like anywhere the quality of the staff was mixed, however 3 particular members of staff stood out for me.
Izzy who was delightful and the only person who came to introduce her self when coming on shift.
Katy who was lovely and worked particularly hard.
Danielle who was very attentive and whose constantly smiling face brightened the day. Thank you ladies👍👍👍
Finally I want to say a big thank you to the staff of the Endoscopy Unit who looked after me. They were kind, friendly, attentive and very efficient. A credit to the hospital
