"I enjoyed the sessions and was very impressed by the staff"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Cardiac rehabilitation

(as a service user),

Having lived with severe heart failure and AF for a number of years, then a torn quad and kidney problems last year, heart failure nurses suggested I might try cardiac rehab to try to regain some fitness and general strength.

Attended rehab sessions, twice a week, for 7-8 weeks, one for general fitness, one more for strength.

I enjoyed the sessions and was very impressed by the staff, both for the encouragement they gave, their enthusiasm and the work they put in providing an individualized program which developed over the weeks.

Certainly helped me and at the end they suggested how I might continue my progress.

Hello Gemglas49

My name is Zahida, I’m one of the nurses in the cardiac rehabilitation team at the New Victoria Hospital, Glasgow

Thank you for sharing your story, it’s good that you enjoyed the sessions and felt that you benefitted from the encouragement and enthusiasm you received from the staff.

I’m pleased that you felt the program you were asked to follow was quite individualised to meet your needs.

I will pass onto the cardiac rehab team your kind comments. The feedback about the care you’ve received means a lot

I wish you all the best in your continued exercise journey

Kind regards

Zahida
