"Really good care"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

Blood tests and poo FIT test mid June organised by GP, who had made same day contact with me 3 days previous. Borderline anaemia. Phone call from GP day later to say FIT test positive. She would refer me for colonoscopy.

Phone call from colonoscopy service at RD and E hospital in Exeter later that day offering colonoscopy late June which I accepted. As promised I had preop phone assessment by nurse later that day with excellent explanation of procedure and time for me to ask questions. Pack with laxative, consent form and detailed information arrived at home. Had colonoscopy recently. Whole team were superb, polite, friendly, supportive, skilled and well organised. Endoscopist really good and explained everything and showed me! Happily no cancer.

Dear Mr Brocoli,

My Name is Matt and I am one of the Operations Managers in RDUH.

Thank you for your positive feedback about the Endoscopy and Bowel Cancer Screening services - I will make sure to pass this onto the teams involved. I am glad the service was quick and effective for you and that your mind has been eased with the tests we provided.

It is always great to hear positive feedback, so we thank you again.

Best wishes,

Matt Wills
