I arrived at the hospital at my appointed time and was taken through to the ward immediately and had the normal checks completed. The nursing staff were kind, pleasant and helpful.
The surgeon arrived and spoke to all patients individually and confirmed the procedure. We were also informed of the order in which we were to be taken into theatre.
When it was my turn, Mark the theatre nurse arrived checked my details again and accompanied me to the theatre and talked with me throughout the procedure, he was extremely nice and reassuring.
