"My treatment was absolutely top class"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I was brought in to A&E Ninewells by ambulance with a very fast heart rate that could not be controlled.

The care from the ambulance staff was great.

When I was admitted to resus, I was immediately seen by nurse Kerri, who was very kind and professional which I appreciated.

I was then seen by Vicki, who was also lovely, explaining everything so that I could easily understand what was happening.

I then saw the consultant, Alistair, who was amazing. He explained my options and was very reassuring and I cannot fault him or his team.

My treatment was absolutely top class.

Thank you to you all for helping me out and making a very stressful situation smooth and very effective.

Dear junedx53

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback so positively on your recent experience in Ninewells Emergency Department. It is such a boost to team moral to get feedback like this and I will make sure that it is shared with the individuals involved and with the wider ED team.

I hope that you are making a good recovery

Kindest regards

Dr Kirsty Tonge- Emergency Medicine Consultant, Co-Clinical Lead EM NHS Tayside

Dear Junex53,

I see my colleague from Ninewells has responded but I just wanted to add our thanks from the Scottish Ambulance Service for your kind comments and such positive feedback.

It sounds like a scary experience and I'm glad that all the NHS staff were able to take such good care of you and make that experience just a little bit easier.

They all really appreciate getting such positive feedback from patients and their families so thank you for taking the time to write in to pass on your thanks and share your experience.

I hope you are recovering well and we wish you all the very best,

Take care,

Marie
