"Reassuring to both myself and my child"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Day Case Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My child was in recently to get teeth removed, we arrived at 8am. We came into contact with quite a few members of staff -  nurses, anaesthetist, theatre nurses. Every single one of them were great, so reassuring to both myself and my child. I know praise is sometimes lacking of the NHS, so I just wanted to say a massive thanks. I had explained quite a lot to my son already before we'd arrived but all the staff we came into contact with were lovely. It's the first time we'd been for something like that so they put us both at ease and were great with my son. Well done.

Dear plusrd65

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know that your experience in the Day Case Unit and theatre was such a positive one. It is always an anxious time coming to hopsital regardless of what the procedure is, so it's good to know you left feeling you had both had a positive experience. I will make sure both the Day Case Unit and Theatre teams have this feedback, as you say, it makes such a difference to know the care provided has been appreciated and they will be delighted to receive this. Thank you again and I hope your son has fully recovered.

Caroline
