"They became a huge part of mums life"

About: Clydesdale Locality Support Service / Care at Home

(as a relative),

My mum was under the care of our local community nursing team from Douglas

For over 3yrs she had excellent care from them on a weekly basis. She enjoyed their visits and loved to have a good chat with them and often a good laugh. When mum's health deteriorated last December and had to receive palliative care at home it was done with great care and dignity. These nurses and community support workers became a huge part of mums life and indeed mine, we both really appreciated all they done. Their care and compassion allowed mum to pass away peacefully at home with her family as was her wish, and for that her family are truly grateful. Thank you to each and every one

Dear correspondencexb83

Thank you so much for taking time to share your Mum’s experience of receiving support from our Care @ Home service and would like to pass on our condolences to both you and your family.

I am delighted that your Mum’s care was very positive experience and that we were able to provide her with compassionate care and it was a privilege for us to be able to make a difference to her in her final days.

I will make sure that your lovely feedback is shared with Sharon and her team of Home Carers in Douglas. We are always grateful for all feedback we receive, but it is lovely to hear that we were able to make a difference to your Mum’s quality of life and ensure that she was treated with compassion.

Many thanks again for your kind words Libby Griffies Team Leader Care @ Home.
