"Patient and kind team for liver biopsy"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Transplants Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Xrays and scans

(as a service user),

I am an extremely anxious patient who since having a transplant as a child has hated being in hospital for any sort of procedure.

I just wanted to thank the staff on ward 206 in RIE for their kindness especially my nurse Saoirse who showed me so much understanding and consideration in relation to my worries prior to my liver biopsy.

I also wanted to thank Lilianna and Dr Wang in the ultrasound department for being so patient and kind when carrying out my biopsy.

Staff like this make such a difference to the patient experience and I really appreciated what they did for me.

Dear aprilpy37,

Thank you for sharing your story with us on Care Opinion.

I am pleased to read that Saoirse, Dr Wang and Liliana were able to support you during your recent biopsy and that they showed you such compassion. Obviously due to you previous transplant and hospital stay this would have been an anxious time for you, but I am glad that they hopefully were able to reduce some of this for you.

I have shared your story with the team in Ward 206 and in Ultrasound so that they can read your feedback. I am sure they will be happy to receive it.

Best wishes,

Claire
