Unfortunately both our parents had need to attend WHSCT Altnagelvin hospital A+E. My father was lucky to be in a bed due to his condition, for 48hours prior to transferring to a ward. The staff were excellent, ( SN Michael, Neill, Dr Gogu, to name but a few. Staff were working tirelessly, with department being overrun with patients (ambulances queued up in corridor). Only issue we had as a family was cleanliness.
Our mother was in overnight the week after my father, staff again were excellent, run off their feet. Massive thankyou to all staff in A+E.
We would also like to thank Ward 26 in Altnagelvin Hospital for all my fathers care and attention.
We would also like to thank NIAS Dean, Kevin and student paramedic Katie for their professionalism when attending our father at home and transfer to hospital.
