My mother had private hearing aids but lost them. She was then admitted to RVH with a chest infection and UTI. Her GP did an urgent referral for NHS hearing aids which was arranged for July at RVH.
As she was in RVH I rang the audiology department and explained the situation. A very competent and professional practitioner Jessica understood the difficulties we had, and arranged an immediate appointment for her clinic.
She was kind and very considerate of the situation, arranged an immediate hearing test and provision of temporary devices. This has helped enormously with mums hospital stay.
She then went on to arrange a next day appointment with ENT department for ear wax removal and completed the necessary tests for permanent hearing aids.
The service and professionalism was outstanding and very much appreciated by the family. Thank you Jessica!
