"CT Scan for TAVI Workup at the Clinical Research Centre"

The Clinical Research Centre at Ninewells Hospital is part of the University of Dundee in a fine modern building. Right from the receptionist at the entrance to the staff carrying out the CT procedure there was a friendly but very professional air. I was a bit apprehensive about the scan but from the initial contact with Richard who took my details and led me to the changing room, to Alan and Claire who carried out the scan I felt re-assured and in good hands.

Throughout the procedure which creates a strange warming sensation from the injected dye in your veins which enhances the visibility of organs and blood vessels on the scan, Alan carefully explained what was happening and how I might feel. The procedure was carried out in no time at all and I felt no after effects. I am very grateful for the skill and professionalism of the team at the Clinical Research Centre,at The University hospital of Ninewells, Dundee.
