My son was vomiting and having stomach pain, our GP sent us in to the Western General and we ended up in ward 57, in a side room just to ourselves. We are hopefully going home after a successful operation to remove his appendix. The staff on the ward were all extremely professional but also incredibly kind and caring, every doctor and nurse seemed to know exactly what they were doing and to care about how we were feeling. It was quite a stressful experience to see my son so unwell but they took a lot of the anxiety out of it, I was confident we were getting the best care possible and that they were personally invested in making my son better. I am extremely grateful.
