"triage is a joke"

About: Sloan Medical Centre

got up at 7am to await the 8am rush to fill in the triage form before the daily limit was reached, awaited the cal/sms until aroun 12 dinner time when my wife called to ask if an appointment had been sent because in the past i have waited until past 4pm and no sms or call recieved only to find on the gp's system one was supposedly snet at 9 am that day - today when i called they informed my wife that a link had been sent out to my phone(again nothing recieved), the upshot of it being that i could have an appointment in 4 days time, every other time i have got an appointment on the day, this time when i probably feel the worst i've been in the last 6 months I get this offer, now i have to take at least 2 more days off work... oh they did say i could goto the walk in center, which if i knew was an option I would have gone at 7am this morning when i got up instead of going now and being sat for hours again - absoluley shocking practice, its service to patients has always been sketchy and when in the waiting room which i almost empty everytime i go in now and the reception dont seem to be doing much(especially at the main surgery), bring back the days of just going to the doctors early waiting 20-30 mins and you're done, now its a case of foistering off patients to A&E or walk in centers, and the funny thing is they cancel your appointment if you are 5 mins late yet you turn up on time and you are still sat in the waiting room for 20-30 mins
