I fell at home in the kitchen and broke my left hip. Fortunately I was able to get help from my family who called the ambulance. The paramedics were with me within 30 minutes and took me to Ninewells hospital in Dundee.
I received a half-hip replacement and was discharged 10 days later. My treatment in hospital was first class.
Once home, I wasn't sure if I would get physio help so I phoned my GP and was contacted a few days later by Perth City Community Physiotherapy Team.
From then on I had support from Carig who gave me invaluable advice, encouragement and support.
I am currently walking with one walking stick and hope to no longer need it in a few more weeks.
Thank the Lord for the NHS.
