"Negligence "

About: Boultham Park Medical Practice

My mother booked an appointment about a physical injury. She had injured her groin and told the lady this. When she arrived she had a male nurse who refused to examine her, she was then directed to reception, the reception would not book another appointment and refused to give appointments for future days.

I had to ring and then submit a request online, I described in detail about how the pain was so great my mother had threatened to take her own life.

None of this was followed up but appointment was given for 9 days time.

In the meantime she went to an urgent care unit who couldn't give extra pain meds, eventually she rang 111 and an ambulance visited, my mother couldn't feed herself and struggled to wash and go to the toilet.

The ambulance staff rang the surgery to speak to a doctor to see if she could have extra pain medication, the doctors refused to come to the phone.

Overall, the experience has been horrendous and the surgery has neglected their duty to care for the health of my mother as well as being downright disrespectful and unbuffered by any pain she was experiencing.

Currently she is going in tomorrow to see anurse and I am hopeful it can resolved and she can A the very least have pain medication of some Form.

However, this is the last of a string of incidents which have shown negligence at this practise including them mixingup medication and ignoring symptoms.
