"A credit to hospital"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital Musgrove Park Hospital / Vascular

(as a service user),

I had to attend two different departments one a long way from the other (vascular and Xray ) I asked a nurse (I think)  in a short white coat if I was going the correct way. She then collected a wheelchair  and pushed me all the way to Xray chatting all the way making me feel completely at ease Unfortunately  I did not catch her name but I really appreciated her unasked for help  she is a great credit to your hospital

I make sure that patients, families, carers, and the public have a real say in how healthcare services within our Trust are shaped and improved. I listen to feedback, gather insights from patient stories, and work with teams to make changes that really matter to the people using our services. I use platforms like Care Opinion to understand experiences—what’s working well and what could be better—so that we can keep improving care in a way that truly puts patients first.

Dear Happy Hearer,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. It’s lovely to hear how a member of our team went out of their way to support you during your visit, especially helping you get from Vascular to X-ray and making you feel so at ease along the way.

Even though you didn’t catch the colleagues name, your kind words really do make a difference. Acts of kindness like this truly reflect the caring values we aim for, and we're so pleased this colleague made a positive impact on your visit.

Wishing you all the best

Issy

Thank you for sharing your feedback - it was lovely to read about the support you received from a staff member while travelling between Vascular and X-ray. I appreciate that the distance between locations can be challenging at times, so it's great to hear that your experience was such a positive one.

Although we may not be able to identify the specific staff member involved, I will share your feedback at our upcoming Vascular Network meeting to recognise the positive impact of such supportive actions. Moments like these really reflect the values we aim to uphold across the service.

With best wishes.

Lorna
