"The care I got was amazing"

About: Causeway Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I had an accident walking on the causeway top path and opened my lower leg .

Felt very vulnerable as this was something I had to deal with on my own as family are not close by and husband died 2  years ago 

I was seen in the green zone by 2 nurses and the care I got was amazing. Such kindness ,care and empathy and professionalism 

Everything was seen to so efficiently and within a short time frame. 

Thank you 

Certainly made what could have been a traumatic experience for me on my own into a positive, affirming experience .My leg was dressed so gently and I  got assured and a confidence boost from these  two wonderful girls

My name is Victoria McCrory and I am the Assistant Clinical Services Manager for Causeway ED. I am sorry to hear that you recently sustained an injury and had to attend the ED for assessment and treatment.

I am delighted to hear that whilst attending the department you had a positive experience,reporting amazing care which was delivered with kindness, care, empathy and compassion. It is fabulous to hear that staff continue to uphold the trust core values and deliver a high standard of care despite the challenges which they face daily.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback. Positive feedback reminds staff of the fabulous work they do and helps boost staff morale. I will ensure this is shared with all staff in the department, and I know the ENP will appreciate same.
