"The care and attention was second to none"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Medicine for the Older Adult (Wards 14,20,22)

(as a relative),

My brother was recently discharged from ward 22 at Monklands Hospital, Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, Scotland.

He was in ward 22 for nearly five weeks and the care and attention from Margaret, the ward manager, and all of her staff was second to none.

My brother was actually very teary, which is definitely not like him, when he was being discharged, he didn’t have one negative word to say about any of the ward staff.

We know that there can be a lot of bad press about inpatient stays in a lot of hospitals, and my brother just wanted me to send this review in to let people know that Ward 22 at Monklands Hospital have a fantastic ward manager and nursing staff are genuinely very caring and they deserve a good review.

Dear Relative Airdrie,

Thank you for taking the time to share such lovely feedback. I will ensure that this is shared with Margaret and the ward team. They will be delighted to hear about your brothers positive stay. I hope your bother continues to improve following his discharge.

Take care and kind regards
