I was brought in a taxi to Dame Carol Detox Services 10 days ago. I was petrified, anxious and nervous. As soon as I turned up outside I was too scared to come into the facility.
Then 2 Nurses came outside and reassured me that I was going to be ok and they would help me and take care of me. This then made me feel calmer, and I was able to walk in with the nurse Lisa.
I believe that if I was left to do this alone, I would of not been capable to even walk into Dame Carol Detox. The nurses then assessed me and then they went through all of my past addiction timeline with me.
They were very understanding and I felt safe and comfortable. I was then escorted to my room. Their efficiency and kindness that day was admirable. Dame Carol Detox has absolutely saved me these last 10 days, all of the staff have been absolutely amazing. Thank you so much.
