On 9th June 2025, I had a dermatology appointment at 11:20 am, I went to the 1st floor reception (1B) to ask where I should sign in or report. The receptionist- an Asian woman wearing a headscarf- responded in a rude and dismissive manner. She said "Can't you see the sign above?" in a tone that felt unkind and unprofessional.
When I said I wasn't sure where to go, she refused to look up from her desk and said again, "Can't you read? It says 1B". I was shocked by the behavior, especially when I was simply seeking help. It left me upset and affected my whole day.
As someone who contributes to the NHS through National Insurance, I believe patients should be treated with respect and courtesy. This experience made me feel unwelcome and undervalued.
This isn't about blame- I just believe patients deserve to be treated kindly, and I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others too.
