"Clear and comprehensive"

About: Dementia and Older Persons Mental Health / Mid Memory assessment service Team

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I attended the Memory Assessment Clinic with a family member, and coming from a nursing background, I was initially concerned that the nurse might feel as though he was being assessed. However, this was not the case; he was incredibly helpful and asked lots of questions to gain a broader perspective. He noted that she appeared more disoriented when not at home, which we were able to discuss, and I relayed this information to other family members.

The nurse used a sense of humor to engage her with some of the questions, helping her feel at ease. He provided a clear and comprehensive amount of information and explored various avenues of support. I couldn’t fault the service he delivered.
