"Poor doctor knowledge"

About: Pennine Drive Practice

For three months, I’d been struggling with a severe cough that left me unable to breathe, often choking to the point of throwing up. It kept getting worse, so I went to the GP, only to be told to buy a humidifier because "the air was too dry"—which honestly felt ridiculous, so I didn’t bother. Instead, I went to a private clinic. They prescribed antibiotics, but they didn’t help. The clinic strongly recommended I ask my GP to refer me for an X-ray. But it took the GP three whole months from my first appointment to finally take me seriously and send me for that scan. By the time they did, I was rushed to A&E, where I was diagnosed with cancer. The tumour had grown so large it was severely compressing my lungs, and the force from my coughing and choking attacks had even fractured my rib. If I had waited any longer for that X-ray, I might not be here today. A few months into chemotherapy, the GP finally reached out, asking how I was feeling—as if they genuinely cared. Since then I haven’t heard a word from them. If you want something done, push for it. Don’t fall for their nonsense, or you could end up in the same position I did.
